1. MICHAEL COOKS A SPECIAL DINNER

March 4, 2005

Michael Collins, in addition to being a fine mathematician, (Senior Mathematics Fellow at the University College Oxford) is an award winning cook in the UK. We were treated to a wonderful meal made of local ingredients in his tiny makeshift Pasadena kitchen and dining area, in the Caltech proivided apartment during his and wife Marjorie's several month visit.

The result was a cornicopia of flavors and colors! An appetizer avocado cup (coming from England, our plentiful avocado supply in California has been a special attraction) filled with a salmon salad.

Olive Chicken, colorful steamed tiny potatoes and fresh green beans, were followed by a happy finish in a fruit bowl, and lots of wine and smiles...
